AHG Professional Herbalist Training Webinars
The American Herbalists Guild is proud to announce the launch of a series of herbalist training webinars taught by AHG professional members. These webinars will provide up-to-date information that combines ancient wisdom with modern science, drawing upon the varied herbal traditions of the world. Beginners and experienced health professionals are welcome to attend. Many of the webinars are free and open to the public, but attendance at all webinars is free for AHG members.

June 17th: 7pm-8:30pm EST: Ben Zappin, RH(AHG) Networking for Herbalists, a Mentored Opportunity! AHG Members Only This class is geared towards professional herbalists and students seeking to develop their ability to create larger networks through which to cultivate and express their craft as an herbalist. Whether ones aim is to solicit primary care referrals from physicians, or to just begin to access more clients to build their experience with, this class will provide direction and support. The class will focus on developing customized to the herbalist scripts for how to identify and research meaningful individuals or populations to reach out to, and then follow up with useful another set of templates for educating them about an individuals services and the scope of what their own version of herbal medicine can offer. Herbalists will be challenged to think about how other professionals may view them and they will be challenged to develop the communication skills that will enable them to develop trust and confidence in their ability. We will explore the benefits and limitations of a variety of strategies using case examples from Benjamin's own experience and observation of others successes and challenges. Ben will also provide templates and scripts for consideration an appropriation for your networking pleasure. Following this course Ben will present 'homework' assignments for students and practitioners to utilize for their own networking utilizing the suggestions and templates he provides in his Networking for Herbalists webinar. Ben will schedule a monthly follow up session for AHG members to offer more suggestions and to facilitate students and practitioners in their professional and clinical development relevant to the topic of networking in a webinar format and possibly online forum.
