Traditions School of Herbal Studies is a leading clinical herbal education program founded and directed by Dr. Bob Linde, AP, DOM, RH(AHG). We offer comprehensive two-year clinical training programs in both Western Herbalism and Chinese Herbal Medicine, designed for students seeking a deeper understanding of plant-based healthcare and clinical practice.
Students can attend all classes either in person at our campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, or virtually from anywhere in the world, making our programs accessible to herbalists and healthcare practitioners across the country. A cornerstone of our training is our live student clinic, held one evening each week, where students gain valuable hands-on clinical experience working with real clients under professional supervision.
In addition to our professional certification programs, Traditions hosts weekly community education classes open to herbal enthusiasts, practitioners, and lifelong learners. Topics include Anatomy for the Herbalist, Ayurveda, Medicine Making, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Physical Assessment, Animal Care, Flower Essences, Understanding Blood Work, Thyroid Wellness, Blooming Through Perimenopause, and many others.
Our curriculum blends traditional wisdom with modern clinical application, covering medicinal plants, herbal preparations, clinical herbalism, nutrition, wellness assessment, and integrative approaches to health. Whether you are beginning your herbal journey or expanding an existing practice, Traditions provides a supportive learning environment that connects students from across the United States and beyond.
