Herbs can be a great support to trauma therapies, and even accelerate their positive effects. This class will discuss the proper approach to identifying and addressing how this shows up in the clinical setting.
Using herbal support with trauma is many layered, as the more obvious symptoms must be addressed, but it is necessary to look at and work with clients on a deeper level to help get them to a stronger threshold.
Class 1: Assessing and discussing trauma during consultation, recognizing trauma in other illnesses
Class 2: Working with the effects on the nervous and digestive system
Class 3: Support through the endocrine system
Class 4: Restoration and case studies
Bio:
Amy Branum, AHP, RH(AHG) is an herbalist who has been working with the plants for over 20 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology, focusing on botany, from the University of North Carolina- Ashevillle, and began her herbal studies at the North Carolina School of Natural Medicine. In 2015, she graduated from the California College of Ayurveda.
She has since become an NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, and a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild.
