About this Class
The most clinically sound protocol means nothing if a client can’t digest it, integrate it, and implement it. This Focus Session explores the gap between what we think clients might need and what is logistically workable in their lives — and how practitioners can design protocols collaboratively with this in mind.
Through the frameworks of capacity assessment, behavior replacement, phased protocols, and client/practitioner collaborative care, in this Focus Session, we’ll hash out how to more effectively meet clients in their lives rather than inside of our clinical ideal. Practitioners will leave with a toolkit for designing recommendations that are honest, sustainable, and workable for their clients.

Teacher Bio: Cameron Strouss is an herbal educator and clinical herbalist dedicated to making herbal medicine accessible and safe through clinically informed education. As the founder of Deep Roots School of Foraging and Herbal Medicine, she has developed comprehensive programs that have taught thousands of students to practice herbal care with confidence and competence.
Her approach integrates 17+ years of herbal study, 9 years of clinical practice, over 4,000 hours of dedicated education, and a BS in Biology from the University of Montevallo. Cameron holds a Clinical Herbal and Functional Herbalist Certification from The Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine and is a graduate of the Southeastern Institute for Traditional Herbal Studies. She maintains professional credentials as a Registered Herbalist RH, (AHG) and is a Level 1 Certified Aromatherapist.
Her teaching philosophy centers on empowering people to reclaim their own health while fostering deeper relationships with the plant world. Whether through her Herbal Medicine Monthly Subscription, Advanced Medicine-Making Courses, Cameron’s work consistently emphasizes practical application, scientific literacy, and the not so radical idea that informed herbal care belongs to everyone.
