The Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine is an in-person herbal school located in the Blue Ridge mountains outside Asheville, North Carolina. We teach a blend of Chinese medicine and Western herbalism, with a focus on local plants – using Chinese energetics to better understand the Western herbs. There are plant walks where we meet the medicine plants in person, and classes in hands-on medicine making, in-depth materia medica of over 80 plants, Chinese medicine philosophy, and basic clinical skills. Graduates can participate in a series of clinical classes offered as stand-alone modules. Come to the mountains and join the community!
