Bridget’s Botanicals, in Historic Downtown Littleton, CO, offers in-person herbal education alongside a working retail apothecary.
Our Global Herbal Foundations runs 7 months October–mid-June, covering herbal formula-making including aromatherapy, oils, teas, creams, salves, and tinctures, as well as phytochemistry, herbal actions, and global healing traditions and rituals from Italy, Ireland, Belize, Mexico, and the Peruvian Amazon. Students explore ~30 herbs and have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship hours for hands-on practice at the apothecary.
Our Advanced Herbalism program runs late September–early June, opening with a mountain cabin retreat weekend. The program covers body systems through the lens of herbal energetics and the Four Humours of Galenic medicine, plus current herbal research, case studies, continued formulation practice, and development of your own rituals for well-being.
Students in either program can extend their study through our Wild Spirit Herbalism Retreats. This optional immersive jungle program in Belize provides an invitation to experience deep connection with biodiversity while studying indigenous plant knowledge alongside local healers.
Founder Bridget Molloy has practiced herbalism for 17 years, founding Bridget’s Botanicals in 2014 and opening her Littleton apothecary in 2023. She holds degrees in ecology and molecular biology (CU Boulder), a Master’s in Teaching for Science with a Graduate Certificate in Global Ecology Education (Boston University), graduate coursework in pharmacology and medicinal chemistry (Harvard University, Georgetown University), and certificates in Sexual Wellness, Community Herbalism, Advanced Herbalism, Celtic Spirituality, and Women in Leadership (CU Colorado Springs). A former high school science teacher and adjunct biology professor (CU Denver, Arapahoe Community College), such currently serves as an offsite instructor for Arapahoe Community College. Bridget grew up in Littleton, Colorado with herb and vegetable gardens, camping in the mountains, and doing science experiments as a hobby.
