At Wildwood Institute, we have been Bringing the Plants to the People and the People to the Earth™ since 1996! We teach from the Four Directions of Information: Herbal Traditions, Science, Personal Experience, and Intuition; with Nature at the center.
Located just outside of Madison, WI, we offer one, two and three year Herbalist Apprenticeships. Classes are held one weekend per month in person. Many students take just the first year, learning how to identify, make, and use herbal medicines for themselves and loved ones. Others continue on for a deeper education, and exceptional students complete the Clinical program. More than half of our students each year travel two hours or more for the program, from Illinois, Iowa, Upper Wisconsin, Minnesota and Indiana.
For those of you interested in practicing as a Clinical Herbalist, we offer the only comprehensive, collegiate level in-person Clinical Herbalist program in the Upper Midwest, with options for clinical supervision online. An accelerated program is available for those who qualify.
Kathleen Raven Wildwood is a Clinical Herbalist, as well as the Founder & Director of Wildwood Institute. She has been teaching and practicing in western, scientific, and shamanic herbal traditions for over 25 years.
