David Winston’s Center for Herbal Studies is one of the oldest and most respected training programs for clinical herbal medicine in the U.S. Our upcoming 2 year on-line program will be our 47-48th year teaching herbalists, physicians, nurses, acupuncturists, veterinarians and other health professionals how to utilize herbal energetics, human energetics (differential diagnostics) , tradition (TCM, Eclectic, Wm. LeSassier’s triune system), a broad and comprehensive materia medica, synergy, and science to become great herbalists. Our focus allows practitioners to go beyond treating disease and understand how to treat the unique people they are working with.
Our curriculum also includes an introduction to botany, phytochemistry, nutrition, the foundations of health (sleep, exercise, healthy lifestyle choices, stress reduction techniques) ethnobotany, herbal pharmacy, a comprehensive introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), shorter introductions to Ayurveda, Unani-Tibb, the Eclectics, Physiomedicalists and Thomsonians, detailed classes on herbal therapeutics, and clinical skills.
Our clinical instructors all have at least 25 years of clinical experience and are exceptional teachers.
