Work Trade and Symposium Support Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in joining our Symposium Work Trade Team!

The Work Trade Team plays an essential role in the smooth flow of the Symposium. Along with AHG staff, the Work Trade Team assists Symposium speakers, vendors, sponsors, and attendees.

Work Trade Team positions include runners, airport shuttle drivers, classroom assistants, registration assistants, event setup and breakdown, and the AHG information table. There are also some pre-Symposium options if you live in the Asheville area or nearby and can help promote the event by distributing flyers and posting on social media.

Work Trade volunteers should be prepared to work approximately 6 hours during or before the Symposium. 

If you apply for Work Trade please be aware that you will not be able attend every class as some tasks require work while classes are in session. 

Enjoy a half-priced ticket to the event and receive a one-year free membership to the AHG. Work Traders must still purchase a Symposium ticket, though the price is discounted to $150.00, if you are an AHG member, or $187.50, for non-members. 

The deadline to apply is Friday, July 26th. We will notify applicants about final decisions regarding approval and positions by the end of July.
