Matthew Alfs, RH (AHG)

Matthew Alfs, MH, RH (AHG) is a clinical herbalist who has been in practice since 1997. He is a graduate of Wild Rose College of Natural Healing, where he studied physiology and Western Herbalism and earned his Master-Herbalist(MH) diploma. He subsequently studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. From 2000-2003, he practiced at the first enduring alternative-medicine clinic on a medical campus in Minnesota, during which time he was awarded the Registered Herbalist (RH) credential by the AHG for educational and clinical excellence. He then opened an integrative clinic in 2004, featuring his own services as well as the services of practitioners of six different healing modalities. He uses Western, Chinese, and Ayurvedic herbs in his practice, as well as nutritional supplements. For case analysis, he is trained in, and uses, functional laboratory testing, tongue and pulse analysis, iris and sclera analysis, physiognomy, and applied kinesiology.
