Dr. Christopher’s School of Natural Healing has graduated Master Herbalists since 1953 and helped thousands of students become self-reliant using herbs and natural healing. Our graduates are confident in caring for themselves and their families and are an integral part of healing in their communities.
Our courses teach herbalism from the ground up. We begin with a foundational understanding of Dr. John R. Christopher’s methodology and principles and progress through the many aspects of herbal healing, including herb identification, horticulture, medicinal usage, formulations/preparations, chemistry, anatomy, jurisprudence and more. Our home study courses culminate with a one week, in person Master Herbalist Certification Seminar.
The 22-level home study program can be completed either online or through correspondence, and registered students have access to student advisors during regular business hours. Course levels are divided into the following programs and awarded a certificate upon completion:
Family Herbalist: Level 100
Nutritional Herbalist: Levels 200 – 500
Herbalist: Levels 600 – 1300
Advanced Herbalist: Levels 1400 – 2200 (Master Herbalist Certificate awarded upon completion of the Master Herbalist Certification Seminar)
