Nurse Herbalist LLC

Karen Bond MPH-CR, BA, BSN, RN, LMT, RH (AHG) is a clinical herbalist and one of fewer than 300 of such practitioners nationwide whose education and clinical skills have been peer reviewed by the American Herbalist Guild so as to be granted the status of a “registered herbalist” (RH). She is a graduate of The Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine, where she studied Western Herbalism from an eclectic perspective and earned her Advanced Clinical Herbalist Certification. An eclectic perspective embraces herbal remedies and other healing therapies that are non-invasive and natural. Karen provides personal education and integrative consultations using herbal recommendations and whole foods nutrition. Her care is individualized to the needs of the client and incorporates many different modalities to assist the body’s natural healing processes. She specializes in chronic conditions. Karen mentored under Dr. Stanley Finkelstein MD, DC, LAc, DOAM, learning neuropsychology and various applications of TCM. She subsequently studied Ayureda. Ayurvedic Medicine follows unique principles for preventing, identifying, alleviating, balancing, and healing.
Karen uses her diverse background, education, broad knowledge of and experience in nursing, botanical therapies, aromatherapy, nutritional training, and clinical skills to assess a client’s needs, make recommendations, and evaluate the effectiveness of her recommendations. She designs a personalized and preventative lifestyle program that optimizes health and takes into account the unique aspects of your life. As a Registered Herbalist, Registered Nurse, Educator, Advocate, Health Coach, Lifestyle Management Consultant, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Licensed Massage Therapist, Aromatherapist, and Photobiomodulation (LLLT) Practitioner, Karen understands that all clients are different with different needs. She is equipped to perform an assessment of the client, develop a nursing diagnosis through clinical judgement about the client’s complaint, history, and response to actual or potential health conditions or needs. Based on the assessment and nursing diagnosis, she will set measurable and achievable short- and long-term goals, and will work with the client to develop an individualized plan of care, implementing the plan with recommendations and interventions to assist the client.
