Alzheimer’s Disease: A Case Study from 2011 till Present

Current research on Alzheimer’s shows that over 5.8 million people have the disease. The percentage is also increasing dramatically as the baby boomers hit their sixty’s. We will include current research and data briefly to set the background but in 2011 it became clear my own mother was dealing with Alzheimer’s at a level where she could no longer live alone in California. It was decided she should come live with me as her care giver. An educational experience and life changing project is an understatement in describing what has happened since then. As an herbalist and therapist my perspective was slightly different than the “average” caregiver. I knew I couldn’t cure her but I was determined to do everything I could as naturally as possible to make her final years the best they could be. I hope to share as much helpful information as possible. In this short class/discussion
Herbs for Eye Health and Electromagnetic Field Deflection

Our Eyes have been called “the Windows to our Soul”! Eye health is supported by antioxidants to protect against oxidative damage that occurs through many factors, including aging, limited consumption of protective nutrients, and the constant onslaught of pollutants, as well as modern day stress caused by blue light emissions from computers, cell phones and other devices.
We can help to promote healthy vision and support normal eye function with eye exercise and Rainbow Nutrients, and by including naturally occurring antioxidants in our daily regimen.
These include Anthocyanins from Bilberry, Proanthocyanidins from Grape seed, and Carotenoids like Lutein from Marigold along with Astaxanthin.

Clinical approaches to working with trans, non-binary, and gender fluid youth

Gender identity and expression are central to the way we engage in the world around us. This is certainly true for transgender and gender-expansive youth, whom many providers struggle to provide competent care.
This class will introduce basic gender literacy and clinical approaches to show allyship for trans youth. We will explore some common challenges, goals, and how best to support our clients through herbal or other gender affirming care.
